Remember when you respond to a blog post be sure to write a thorough, substantial response. Writing verbose, or excessively long, posts does not mean that you will earn an "A", but be sure that your post has enough depth to sufficiently get your point across to your peers.
An "A" response has the following:
- Student develops thought-provoking questions that force higher level thinking (PS1 - Comprehension).
- Students defend ideas thoroughly using personal experience, historical, societal and cultural arts, and genre conventions (PS3 - Interpretation).
- Students produce a thorough and original interpretation using support from the text and/or outside (PS3 - Interpretation)
Strong examples from Blog #1 are Ross, Brittany, Natalie, Liz, and Sarah P. They have sufficient depth for a thorough response. Ross provides examples (a great idea) to support his ideas.
ReplyDeleteThese of course are not the only strong posts, but they should be used as models.
